An eProxy is someone who has obtained a UT EID and has been granted the authority to access another person’s electronic records through the web services offered at UT. An eProxy is authorized by service (so you may be authorized for one service but not another), and each authorization is valid for up to one year as specified by the granter. IT.UTEXAS.EDU/STUDENTS A $10 fee is charged for each card issued and must be paid within 30 days on your “What I Owe” page. Obtaining your UT ID card will upgrade your UT EID, allowing you to have access to all online resources.
Proxy Access Your student can grant you proxy access to their MFA Portal, allowing you to complete tasks on their behalf, such as uploading requested verification documents. Proxy access does not give you access to other student information, such as grades. Please note proxy access is different than eProxy, discussed on page 12.

UTmail is a branded G Suite service providing UT students with a free University-affiliated @utexas.edu email address. A UTmail account is a great solution if your student’s current email address was issued by their high school/school district as those accounts expire upon high school graduation. Every University can interpret FERPA differently, so it is possible that you had access to this information at another institution with another child. All incoming students must complete two mandatory, online modules to aid them in making informed decisions about substance use and prevention of sexual assault and interpersonal violence. Students failing to complete deadlines will be unable to see their grades online for that semester. All emergency alerts are immediately posted to UTPD and OEM social media accounts.
